Gomoku

A GUI based Gomoku game using pygame where the user can choose to play against another player or an AI using minimax with alpha-beta pruning.

Rules

Gomoku is a two-player board game played with Go pieces on a Go board. Starting with black, players alternate turns placing a stone of their color. The first player to form a consecutive chain of five stones of their color wins.

Getting Started

1. Download the source code.

2. Navigate to the project's directory

3. Run the game file gomoku.py

python gomoku.py

Game Settings

To change whether the computer or a human player controls black or white pieces. Change player1 and player2 in gomoku.py.
